OAM is pleased to announce the addition of orthopaedic surgeon and spine specialist Derek Ju, M.D. to the OAM team! Dr. Ju graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, School of Engineering Cambridge, MA with a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering and a minor in biology. He received a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Ju completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Department of Orthopaedics, Los Angeles, CA. He went on to complete fellowship training in spine surgery at Rothman Orthopaedic Institute/Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA.

His exceptional credentials from leading orthopaedic institutions and his specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and injuries of the spine will be a great asset to the practice and our surrounding Long Island communities,” said OAM Senior Partner Richard D’Agostino, M.D.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Ju is a member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the North American Spine Society and a reviewer for the Global Spine Journal. He is board eligible with the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
